He's really pretty! He seems very friendly already. When he bites, try not to react and just blow on him until he stops. If he is on your finger, you can drop your hand a bit so he loses his balance a little and stops the biting.
I got rid of all my Teflon pots and pans when we got a bird. Teflon is Teflon- wither it is new or used. I still use the occasional appliance (George Forman grill, waffle maker, etc.) that has non-stick. I still burn candles.
I don't use aerosol air fresheners and the like though.
