Well, I actually don't mind blackeyed peas at all....after all, we ARE in the south and they are so common here
Not to mention my mom always made them for us, and of course on New Years. However, I myself never go out and buy them just for New Years (well, I hardly buy them at all to tell ya the truth
) BUT....my mother was
freaking out because I didn't have any BLACKEYED PEAS!
So....would you believe that she brought her one and only can of them over here and made my hubby and I eat some? LOL. I was in tears laughing so hard when she showed up at my door with a can of BLACKEYED PEAS!!
Anyway, we did have them....so hopefully I'll be REALLY lucky in 2009 and either get pregnant, or win the lottery
Those darn peas haven't brought me either one so far, though
