She probably didn't realize her statement was hurtful to you. She was just giving her opinion without thinking through what she was saying or who she was saying it to . Was it the wrong time ...yes. Was it the wrong thing to say to a yorkie owner....yes. But I don't think that would lead me to look for a new vet unless there were other problems.
I would simply go to her and tell her , "While I'm sure you didn't mean it , the statement you made hurt my feelings." Most likely she will apologize and you can go from there. If she is new , she may not be good at holding her tongue just yet.
If there are problems after , Then I would speak to the vet. But I honestly think she just made a statement without thinking it through. |
