Yorkies are known to have bad knees - it's not an uncommon thing. Keep an eye on the threads and see how many threads there are about yorkies with bad knees. That's a very valid reason to not want a yorkie, IMO.
I understand that we love our pups and it's impossible to think that someone doesn't love them. But that's just the way it is. There is no reason to insult her and certainly no reason to change vets. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's not as if she was saying "Yorkies are nasty little rats so I'm not interested in one." LP is a common health problem, and she isn't interested in owning a dog that is prone to one.
I don't see an issue here.
