I have a tightness/discomfort in my chest and nasal congestion. Like you, I'm bad about taking meds (just hate to take the chemicals!), but if you don't keep it under check you can have lots of bronchitis.
Try to zero in on what is causing it, and you can avoid a lot of problems. Find a good allergist and they will do the tests to tell you. It's really worth it.

My boyfriend is exactly the same way. I always thought he was exagerating so that he wouldn't have to help clean - but it's really quite bad. I feel awful for you all that suffer from athsma. By brother also used to have terrible attacks when we were kids. My mom would put the shower on super hot and close him in the bathroom because the steam would help clear him up.
