As everyone i'm sure agrees no dog is born aggressive. His/her owners are the ones to be blamed. I have worked at a nokill shelter for 3yrs and have been around many pits and truly believe they are no more aggressive than any other breeds. Actually it tends to be our toy breed dogs with the most aggression issues! The difference between the toy dogs aggression and a pits is their physical capabilities. A yorkie may bite you 20 times before actually puncturing you but a pit has a strong enough jaw to take your skin off. Owners are the problem. Period.
Again I am so sorry you had to go through this. In the end it's always the animals that suffer for peoples ignorance. |
