I have food allergies and it's actually just the opposite. Staying on any food for a long period of time is how you become allergic to it. It's the constant exposure that causes your body to build up antibodies against it. That's why dogs are often allergic to chicken, because they have been exposed to it so much in food and treats. In time, they will become allergic to vension or fish, too, if it isn't rotated.

With human food allergies you aren't supposed to eat the same thing twice in a five day period.
