I would like to start this post by saying hello to all of the members on the board

I have been an avid searcher and browser of this site since I adopted my little guy in October, but I have yet to post. I have never had a Yorkie before, but I am so happy now that I do! Just to give a little background, I'm a 29-year-old elementary school teacher. My Yorkie, Diesel, was a surprise addition to my life-- I took him off the hands of one of my students (actually, the student's parents) because they didn't want him

They have two other dogs, a pitbull and something else, and they didn't want Diesel! Well, their loss is my gain... He has brought so much love and joy into my life in such a short time!
Anyway, I am truly appreciative of the wealth of information and real-life reviews and opinions available in these forums. With that being said, however, I sometimes find myself paralyzed by the overwhelming amount of information and differing opinions... For example, I am on the prowl for a great shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and toothbrush (or finger brush). I realize that product selection is a process of trial and error, and what works for one may not work for another, but I'm getting so confused! It seems like one day I can be using the "it" product, and the next day a report will come out that I am feeding my dog the Ebola virus(extreme example, but you get the idea)

Does anyone else feel like this?
I have spent HOURS browsing through the info on this site (as, I'm sure, many of you have) and I feel like I go around in circles. How do you weed through it all?
Thanks for reading my first post. I promise to make an effort to be a more active participant
