I have 2 boys, one you wouldn't even know he got shots, the other one needs to get a pain shot before his shots and a benedryl shot with his shots. The pain shot because he SCREAMS when you touch him after he had his shots, the benedryl one because he had his shots and blew up all swollen and red, his eyes swelled shut, he was rubbing on my carpet to itch himself. Poor little guy. I keep childrens benedryl on hand just in case. I think reactions can be pretty common in these smaller breeds. I take them only once every 3 years for their shots now. They are a little over 3 years now, so they have until a year from now before they need another round. I hope my little guy outgrows his reaction by then.
