Rotating between foods is a great idea because your dog will be less likely to develop allergies. It's the constant exposure that cause the body to build up antibodies against certain ingredients. Before Lady had elevated liver values from years of seizure medications and had to go on a low protein diet, I fed her Natures Variety Prairie. I rotated through the canned constantly. Every time I opened a new can it was a different flavor. I bought a different kibble each time I ran out.

Lady never had any digestive problems with rotation. I think as long as you stick with the same brand you won't have a problem.
