 reaction to shots...
i took jackson to the vet yesterday for his second set of shots... first off, he weighs 6 pounds already (he's only almost 12 weeks!!) but he's not overweight, he's just a bigger guy. i'm wondering if he's maybe mixed with something else besides yorkie but who knows, i don't really care. she said he's perfectly healthy, everything is good, except he has a little overbite and his bottom teeth are poking into his top gums so he may have to have baby teeth removed, possibly adult too.
but anyways, i take him home and he's acting a little funny and then he started throwing up. he threw up about 3 times and then he was dry heaving. so i called the vet and they told me to bring him right back in, and they gave him a shot of something to help - i believe they said some sort of steroid. he was shaking like i had NEVER seen him do before! so then they gave him bendadryl. he had a reaction to the lepto shot! so they said they obviously will never give him that again. anyone else ever have anything like this happen? |
