Maybe you can find some statistics on how many dogs are euthanized a year because people want puppies? Yeah, they ARE damaged, which is why they need you more than ever. If he could see some of the places our rescue dogs have come from.. some are left outside in cages, some are tied to trees, some come from auctions where puppymillls sell their dogs for $5 or less because they're diseased or too old to breed, some have lived in a 3x3 change their entire life and have never stepped foot on grass in the 6 or 7 years of their life. It truly is tragic and we need to do our best to save the dogs who are already alive and suffering before we bring more into the world. These dogs want nothing more than to have someone love them for who they are, not how much money they can make off them. I mean, not all rescues come from puppymills but you get my drift. Maybe that will help convince him?
