Wow - she's pretty particular!
When I was looking for a puppy, I narrowed it down to the breed I wanted (Yorkie) then I looked at them all. My 2nd pick to Missy would have been a teapot Yorkie. The Mom and Dad were both over 10 lbs and the puppies were quite large, but VERY cute. I"m all about finding a connection with a certain pup. It's more about personality, health, and of course the cuteness factor (which comes in all sizes).
The sad thing is, these people who want a "purse pup" for show usually end up abandoning them after a few months, once they realize that they are as much work (if not more) than a larger sized dog. I had a lady trying to sell me a Yorkie that was 10 months old that she purchased from westcoastyorkies.com. She wanted $3500 and she called the puppy "Dolce". I believed that she was one of these "rich ladies" who wanted the dog just for show, then realized how much work they are. It's sad! I really think these "tinies" need to be placed in a loving home where the owners are willing to take special care of them. I know even with Missy who is perfectly healthy so far, I have to be extra careful to be sure she eats regularly, otherwise her blood sugar levels drop and she gets woozy. They do take extra care.
