Isn't it weird how life happens, you of all people she told this story to. I know you have mentioned before that because of all her problems, people have suggested that you put Lady down, and this woman puts down two perfectly healthy dogs, because she didn't want to get them use to a leash. How ironic. I don't think this is someone that you will want to have too many conversations with.
