I put a harness on him and there are 2 clips, one in the front of the bag that I clip to the front of the harness and another toward the back that I clip to the top of his harness. Although it is pretty plain for a carrier, I lined it with fur for the winter. Now that I know he will let me carry him I would really like to get this one but it is on back order. I know my husband would use both if we wanted to take him out.

Oh, that looks perfect. I was trying to remember that brand. . .Outward Hound. That would definitely work for your dh.
