It's a good thought but it would be a financial risk for someone and I think it is probably better to start small regionally, and then see if the regions want to do a big national convention.
I agree with the above... Realistically even with the best of intentions this is going to take more than a few months to plan. It's much better to start off small and then go big later after you see how well the regional ones are
attended. Also by starting out smaller you would be better able to see what
vendor support is available in each area that could later on support a much
bigger event.
