We adopted 3, or better,4, adult Yorkies. First Maggie which was very timid and shy and it took almost a month until she dicovered she has a tail nub to wag with. She still (after about one year) is not the really cuddly type but she is like a velcro baby to me. Then we got the little family, once called Capone (dad), Gypsy (mom) and Eve (daughter) and they didn't know how to play either. We asked the lady who gave them up to give us some toys they love and she told us that they don't really play and the three came with one yellow squeaky frog...
Unfortunately we had to find another home for Gypsy for various reasons and she is now the spoiled rotten center of an elderly gentleman. Capone and Eve, now Maximus and Minnie, settled in slowly and they also learned to wag their tails and play. I call Maximus my 'silly boy' now b/c he is such a goofball and does the funniest things.
You'll see... the two girls are going to come around very very fast and since Yorkies are born to be cuddled and loved they will love you back in no time!
