I'm not an expert though I'm owned by one adorable yorkie named Canyon. When I get home from work, Canyon is SOOOO excited to see me so when I take him out of his x-pen and we give love loves, then I know soon he'll have to go potty because he may not have gone in a while on his potty pad in his x-pen and plus he's so excited to see me. So after we've said our hello's, etc, I take him to the potty pad or watch him closely for signs of him having to go and if he starts looking like he's searching for a place to go potty, I tell him go potty and he runs to the laundry room where his other potty pad is and only after he's gone pee pee do I let him run free. We've been together long enough and I know his schedule for potty that I pay full attention to those times to ensure that he goes to the right place. |
