Great! It sounds like he may have just had a hypo episode. Did you see the link to the article I posted on the first page? It has great information about hypoglycemia.
It sounds like you are doing great with feeding him. Nutrical, karo syrup, etc, is great for a hypo episode, but they need food to prevent an episode. Too many people over use Nutrical and they create a cycle of sugar highs and crashes if they aren't making sure their puppy eats.
