I don't think the intent was a comparison of the effects of the two, I think that what is trying to be proven is regarding an issue of common courtesy and understanding of
why some may object to a dog friendly world.
Heck, I would object to it, and I love dogs. Correction, I love MY dogs, not so wild about the idea of having tons of other dogs around me while I'm trying to shop for many reasons.
