Drinking lots of water will help dilute his urine quite a bit, so that's why you're probably seeing the clear urine. If after the antibiotics, his urine gets dark again or he has any similar issues, there's something more going on...My yorkie had several "UTI's" even though they weren't finding any bacteria either before finally we found out that he had bladder stones...which, by the way, were not seen on x-rays, only u/s. He was diagnosed with these bladder stones one day when his urethra actually became blocked due to stones...I wish the vet would have been more proactive in helping us figure out that he had stones b/c we could have been helping him before..
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if it happens again, I would insist they do a BAT and possibly u/s.
