Only my youngest one hides toys and I know it's to keep them from his brother and sister because if they even 'look' towards his hidey-hole, which is usually under the couch pillows or the bottom of the toy box, he charges over to protect his stash! It's funny watching him trying to 'bury' his treasure - he works so darn hard at it
