I want to know how you got your hubby to agree that you needed another one!!! I still can't convince mine of that.

I can't attest to having two at the same time. I had a male who would really only cuddle when he was wiped out at night. Any other time, he wanted to play. Play is all he ever thought about. He loved my husband but was definitely partial to me. After he died suddenly, we wanted another one. My husband said a female this time because we didn't neuter the boy in time....he was hiking on our furniture and getting physical with everything. He even started humping my friend's head when we were sitting on the floor. He had jumped up on the couch and was licking her hair. It was quite hysterical. Anyway, the female crawled up in my husband's lap when we were trying to decide who to pick. That was all it took. She loves us both. And her temperament is very sweet...she'll lick you to death. She doesn't love other dogs as much as our male did. He never met a strange dog he didn't want to play with. She, on the other hand, has to definitely warm up to other dogs (even though she was raised with 9 others).

Send me the secret to convincing the hubby!!! I agree that it is more dependent on the individual dog. Have fun looking!
