Congratulations on the babies. Mom is probably going to take a couple of days to come around. That happens a lot with a c-section. I went thru the same thing with my Sunshine. It is important to continue to place the babies on mom, then if all else fails supplement. I had to spend a lot of time laying by the whelping box with my mom for a couple of days until her milk came in good. The c-section seems to slow the milk coming in. But it is still very important for the babies to suckle. I cannot remember the amount to feed them, but it is a tiny amount. It should say so on the cans. If I remember right it is something like 1 or 2 tablespoons per ounce of weight. DON'T quote me on that tho. Use what it says on the can. |
