I have a chocolate Yorkie and You can register them with AKC if both parents are akc. What you have to do is send a pic of the front, sides and back of the dog showing all the color of the dog. I didnt mark any color on the paper i just sent the pictures. When you get the registration papers back they will be registered Chocolate and Tan. Hope this helps.
