I am wondering if this chocolate genetic is something more common in boys since the orgional poster had 2 black/tan girls with the chocolate boy and I have 2 black/tan girls with 3 chocolate boys...interesting!
I attached a quick pic of the new pups and their exhausted mom. Attachment 257813
Thanks for your help!

What a darling photo....breath taking....
My Mom has a female chocolate and she is registered AKC. I believe you have to contact the AKC and tell them about it and how the parents are AKC. I think they will make you take photos and such, but in the end they will be registered AKC - not sure of the color though, I think brown
...I do love those brown babies and boys are my favorite

One day I do want a chocolate boy - so cute!
