I just returned and the vet gave me a scare at first but when we explained to him what we have went through these two weeks with her he said that she is going to be alright. Shes on antibiotics again in case of an infection and because the nose has to heal a little bit more. So we go back on the weekend for a checkup with the original vet who saw her the first time. Her mouth has healed good and so has her face, the hair is starting to grow back around her lips so he said in about two-three weeks she should be all good. He first walked in and was like "omg this is not good. she is suffering" I said what are you serious? and he said yes look at her, you have a difficult decision to make. I said like what! and my mom says doc you didn't see this dog whe nwe first brought her in and what I went through with her, its a miracle that she is alive! and we explained to him and he read through her file and agreed and said she is just going to have no nose now I guess. It works, she can smell and everything but she just looks a bit funny. Oh well I guess, she's still beautiful to me and I don't love her any less. This is better then having her die or be put to sleep. I thought that her tongue would fall off or something else, didn't think it would be her nose, i knew she was going to be deformed a bit but it was just shocking to see. I am just thankful she's alive and well and back to her normal self which I must add she is so much more cheerful and happy, in a way I think this has helped us all, she is close now with my hubby and will sleep with him ALL night and forget about mama! lol
