My new rescue dog Sam who is 5 years old does this thing when he is sleeping, I can only describe it as a bad dream he breathes very hard and whines and cries. Its very dramatic and he dosent wake up easliy when its going on. He's a very independant dog and never whines so Ive always thought it was weird. I feel so bad when it happens and it happens about once a week. My new rescue foster also does this exact same thing. She has done it 3 times in the 1st week Ive had her. Its not like a dream when they are moving their legs and making sound its so loud and dramatic it wakes me and my husband up at night. I had my 1st yorkie Maggie for 16 years and she never did this, Ive started to wonder if it really is a bad dream from their past. Does anyone have babies that do this?
