Once labor starts you will have plenty of time. Even during a normal delivery they momma will have contractions for hours before the hard contractions start. The hard contractions usually last an hour or sometime a little longer depending on the size of the pup. Is it possible there are two puppies and it just appears like one on the x-ray? By next Thursday if the puppy has not dropped then I would definitely not have the c-section done. Usually the pup will drop a few days before delivery. Also, when the puppy gets close to full term their movement will be good and strong so if by next week you are not feeling really strong movement of the puppy I would wait. I do pray all goes well.
