I know where you are coming from. Reese used to pee all the time on the carpet at my parents house and it drove my dad nuts. When I moved into my apartment I was really worried that she would pee on the carpet. I take her out every hour or 2 when I am home and she does fine.

I set some pee pads down the first day we moved in, just incase she would go on them. I was still hesistant when we went to sleep that night. I woke up the next morning to see that she went on her pads! I was shocked because she rarely ever did it at my parents house. My apartment is small so i'm thinking they are easier for her to find and remember where they are.

If I leave for class or errands I take her out before I leave. While I'm gone she will go on the pads if she has to go. She occasionally will poop on the carpet but she's doing better with going outside.

I second taking her for a walk. Reese loves them. When I come back from class or errands she is usually very hyper and happy to see me. The walks really calm her down and she is usually ready to relax when we get back inside. It really helps especially if I am tried or need to study.
