Keeping him on a leash at all times and training..saying Wait or Stay while you open the car door is really the only thing that will help prevent him from running off. My almost 2 year old Biggie runs off at times and he's been nutered. He runs off when we open our front from time to time and runs 2 houses down to see his Doggie Friend Toto that is typically leashed up in my neighbor's backyard during the day. Other than that he stays on our front lawn...but everyone is right, they should always be on a leash and training is key... we still have a little more work to do with Biggie. |
