A cat we brought in from a cat shelter infested my resident indoor cat, my dog, and myself with ringworm. It didn't last long... this was about 7 years ago. I got the red rashy dry skin on my shins where he rubs up against as I'm most in shorts indoors. My indoor cat lost all of what little hair she normally naturally has on her brow and a bit beyond there as that's where he liked to groom her. I guess this was spread by saliva. I can't recall what the vet prescribed for them but I do recall it only required that one vet visit to cure them/us all of the infestation. I didn't do any clean-up above and beyond our usual laundry cleaning and didn't think about doing a thorough carpet cleaning even. It never came back and my cat grew her brow/head hairs back as have my shins!
This was before our yorkie. Our shih-tzu was a 10-12 lb happy healthy adult dog at the time while our indoor cat was months old.
Good luck! I know it wasn't funny having ringworms myself when all but my then bf got it!
