with any type of surgery there is poetinally a risk, but thats why they do blood work first, to determine if they can handle it or not. I used to be a vet tech, and dentals can be a very long process, and they are under for awhile...if it is a simple teeth cleaning, they wont be under that long.. are your dogs teeth really that bad? the one vet i worked for, i swear, they would say teeth cleaning to EVERY client, just to get more money from them, since they are pricey!
