I would use a natural oil as baby oil is a petroleum product and will clog the pores and cause flakes. If you go to the black hair section of Walmart you will find various natural oils. Olive oil based oils or Lanolin are really good because they are of small molecular structure and therefore easily absorbed. Bath the dog, condition and than lightly mist the ends of the hair with the oil. The oil will work it's way up the shaft of the hair to the skin. Spot cleaning can help you to avoid bathing too often.
