It would be nice if veterinarians would give new puppy owners a pamphlet about dogs reaching sexual maturity and the behaviors they display when in heat along with information about neutering and spaying your pet. You know part of the puppy package that comes with your first examination. I was clueless about this topic before reading this thread. This information would not offend me, because I want to know how to take good care of my pet. I would like to keep these situations a family matter and not have to visit the veterinarian if this occurs. |
