My boy Rocco is 10 months old. When I took him in at the 6 month mark my vet said she wanted him to gain some weight before she neutered him. He was only a little under 2 lbs at 6 months old.. This may have absolutely NOTHING to do with this but it might.. ANYWAY, he does his fare share of humping and we are going to try to get him in in Dec, but with the holidays and how crazy it is we may have to wait till Jan, BUT his humping is not too excessive. Last night I woke up to him almost violently humping my arm! When I looked at "HIM" it was ALL THE WAY out, and I mean a lot!! I was taken a back by it! Oh I'm so sorry I have to ask this! I mean the poor lil' boy could hardly walk! It took quite a while for it to go back "IN" but not all the way back "IN". This morning when I left for work at 7am "IT" was still poking out a little. I told my b/f that if it didn't go down by mid morning to get him to urgent care.. Well it did go all the way back in... Is this normal?? Am I trippin'? I pretty much know how human male anatomy works, but not canines... Any insight or advice would be appreciated.. Or am I just WAY too overly worried about this? I mean I feel completely TRAUMATIZED by seeing what I did last night! LOL

Again, I'm sorry I even had to ask, but my vet isn't in the office today and you guys ALWAYS have so much knowledge about everything with these babies!!

Thanks!! xx
Oh man! I just went through this with Doodlebug last week and he is neutered!!!! He was in the yard with Bogey and they were romping around and playing. I went to check on them after about 5 minutes to call them back into the house and Doodlebug was on the patio and Bogey was staring at him and wouldn't leave his side. I finally went out and picked him up and he was in FULL EJECT! I knew from YT that it needed to go back in or else I would have to take him in to the vet. I put sugar, salt and even honey on his little guy and it was still out. I then put him into the sink in cool water and still nothing! I called the vet and he said COLD water for my little man. Now into the shower he went and he was swimming while I held him under the shower with his little legs in the air. Water everywhere but no more Mr. Happy!

After this this incident we have not had any more incidnets.

In all of this I thought that after he was neutered this wouldn't happen but BOY was I wrong!
