I agree...if he wants to see it...take him and see...who knows, he might really like it or might not. My niece was 12 that I took and she liked it...she liked the books better though.....my nephew went (4th grade) and it was okay to him...a lot of scenes were over his head and he didn't read any of the books....I think it just depends on the child.

I don't know if a 7 y.o would like it. He might get bored..but if he wants to see it then i guess it would be fine. My sis in law little sister went with us, she's 11 i think but she was totally bored. She didnt read the book or know anything about the movie
