My Yorkie mom was about 50 days in whelp when she started having a hard time going pee. The vet said she had an infection and gave her a round of antibiotics. She got a little better but then had her puppy. Her symptoms increased so he put her on antibiotics that would not hurt the puppy while being nursed. She initially got better then frequent urinating again. She is now on her 3rd round of antibiotic and she poops out a small bit when she pees. She does have quite a bit of liquid when she pees. It seems like having a puppy put such a strain on her. I cant have her fixed until she is over this infection and weans the pup. Has anyone ever had this much difficulty with bladder problems due to whelping?
