My oldest started with earinfections at 6 months and every few months he had one. We finally got tubes put in and they were perfect! No more infections! we use motrin or advil which seemed to work better and longer for him. Also a warm towel or heating pad or bottle to lay his ear on. Have him drink plenty of liquid but not too much milk, it creates mucus which, the ear dr had said the infection was from his sinuses draining and the ear tube was just too small and crooked to drain the fluid.
