It is good practice to make sure when you buy a puppy it has had atleast 2 shots at 2 weeks apart for Parvo. And then give parvo shot every 2 weeks until 4 months old if its in the hot summer , Be very careful taking your puppy to the vet in the summer, that is the first place to pick it up at. Actually the vet is where you an pick up alot of things if your not careful because that is where the sick animals are.
People bring there pets to the vet that are sick and if they have parvo they sit in the waiting room same as you and the dog may have it on his paws , fur etc etc, next dog comes along and picks it up and it spreads fast.
I never take my puppys to the vet for shots after they stop nursing, I give the shots myself.
