Hey there! I know it can be very scary and I worry about it too. I have decals on my doors and window where the furbutts are. I also have notified the fire station.
Anytime I leave the house we always say a prayer for "God to watch over us while Nana and Momma are gone". We say it every morning and every night before we go to bed.
Im sorry for your friends loss. Its hard. When I watched my neighbors house burn down, it was very scary.
