Hi, our Chunk is a 16lb chocolate yorkie and was diagnosed with retina degeneration at the age of 9 mos. He is now 20 mos and is pretty much completely blind. Would anyone out there know if chocolate yorkies are more prone to get this disease. I think I asked the Dr at the time of diagnosis but to be perfectly honest I think I was in shock I can't remember what she answered. Well anyway Chunk is so full of love and he does ok. We just have to take precautions with him so he doesn't injure himself.
