My Piper is a 2.3 yr old yorkie 62 days into her 1st litter.
I just got a temp from her of 99.2 this am it was 99.6.
Yesturday I noticed the whelping gel , not alot but enough & it was there again today .
I would say for the last 36 hrs she has not really been eating , I just gave her an egg & she has kept that down so far . she vomited 1X today 2X's yest.
There is no milk leaking but again this is her 1st litter . So I think that this is not uncommon.
Xray was done day 57 and confirmed 2 pups but vet said there is a 10% chance of a 3rd.
she is resting constantly , whlping box is ready heating pads are on .
no nesting , digging just tired and clingy to me . what do you all think? stage 1 ? |
Hi sounds like she could be beginning the start of stage 1. My girls normally go into the 98 range though. I would take her temp again in a couple hours and if its still going down, I'd say we are in stage 1. What day is she on?
