This happened to my family ,when I was in 9th grade. We were at a birthday party for my little cousin. We were coming up the hill,and my dad said .."WOW look at all that smoke,as we got closer we realized it was our house!!! My dad actually jumped out of the car dropped to his knees and fell apart. It was the first time I ever saw him cry. We lost everything. A neighbor got our dog out. My guinea pig and fish died. Our 1 car burned up also. We had fire insurance and friends and family and our church were great. My parent moved in with my aunt and uncle and my brother and I had to live with friends (separately) for 6 month so we could go to school. I'm always afraid of fires. Just yesterday my daughter confessed leaving the Flat iron on all day!!!
