I took our sweet boy to be groomed last week. DH picked him up that afternoon and it was dark when I got home so I didn't really notice anything. The next morning when Baxter was racing around the backyard I noticed this weird black circle on his butt about 2 inches to the left of his tail on his back upper thigh/butt. I have NEVER noticed this before. I picked up on it immediately, so it is definitely something new. I looked closer and it almost looks like someone dipped their thumb in ink and then pressed it onto his hindquarters. I seriously thought it might just wash off, but no such luck. It looks like a black thumbprint of fur. It doesn't bother him when I touch it and it doesn't feel rough like the skin is hurt or anything. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? Will it go away? Thanks for all your help!!
