Prayers going up. We have been " hit hard " this year also. I was a student and found out I was pregnant four WEEKS before I had my baby girl ( she is 3 months now ) my car was hit and totled when she was 3 weeks old and we are raising my sister that passed away daughter who is 5 yrs. Both girls need clothes really bad so I have been on craigslist, ebay, etc...looking for cute things that are affordable for us right now. I am use to mall shopping....we have boys that are 17 and 19 years and we always shoped AE and other popular mall stores. I always longed for a little girl and dreamed of her being dressed little smocked outfits, etc... Now, I am happy to find their size that is in style, even if its used. I always did HUGE Christmas' for the boys....it was nothing to spend 2000 until one year my car broke down right after Christmas and I had no money in savings from the Christmas bounus b/c I spent it all shopping.....I learned that year to scale back. Now, raising the girls.....I understand it dosen't take a lot to make a child happy. It's in decorating the tree, making new traditions, and memories etc.....Its weird....this will be the smallest Christmas I have ever had, but its SO much better and less stress. I am just looking forward to being with family and friends. Your older children...I would just try to get one or two things they really want and then just cheap little odds and end. The younger ones......your lucky you can find chep things they will love anywhere. I may not be much help b/c this is the first time I can't go out and spend a lot b/c I need everyday stuff right now but, I plan on doing the tree hay rides at a tree farm here, and just make memories. I will buy sensable this year and maybe one thing they just don't need on the 5 yr old wish list. Check craigslist for your area out. Its local so no shipping fees...it has really saved me with baby equipment I needed.

Good Luck and praying for y'all to get a good, sound job.

Angie
