No, no , no... no hard food yet till they get their teeth are in good. She might not want to feed, but just put her in with the pups. They still need the milk and antibodies. They do not have their shots yet and need the mom's milk. You can start to wean now - but it must be soft food. I usually start to wean at about 5-6 weeks and feed soft can food of the kind of food the mom eats, this way their stomachs do not get upset. I add a little water to mke it easier to eat. I am still letting the pups nurse some and mine turn 8 weeks old tomorrow and mom lets them. But they are mostly on the soflt food and a little dry (small kibet) but only a little and only when I can watch them. I do not want them to choke!
