Hi all. I'm new here and new to the Yorkie breed. I got our Chloe when she was 4 months old. She is now almost 8 months (December 5th) .She is doing very well. She is 2.5 or 3 lbs ( she's a tiny baby) and boy ,she is a feisty little thing
I had some questions I wanted to ask you long time Yorkie owners.
1.) I read alot about teething problems here , and I have made an appointment for my Chloe to get her teeth checked next week. I think she has double canine teeth , but I'm not sure. Her breath is downright dreadful!! So I want to have her checked. Is this a common problem and after the teeth are removed were your dogs O.K? I worry about her because she is so tiny. But like I said she is a feisty li'l girl!!
2.) I had her on Science Diet food for puppies ( that is what the breeder had her on) and while she did eat it , she seem indifferent to it. Long story short she got into our other dog Sydney's food and loved it! (It's beneful brand dog food. )It's not puppy food , but she loves eating it. Is it O.K. to let her eat it or should I keep her on puppy food ? I have also seen the recommendations of food here that I will look into , but for now is beneful O.K. or should I just give her her puppy food?
