Vet's do know how much blood to draw on a 12 week old puppy, but 3cc's pre and post is protocol, and Liver shunt Tests are always done on weak, sick, and unusually small puppies, this is normally why it is being done. If a puppy gets hospitalized, for coccidia or giardia, they are normally actually admitted when they are severly lethargic because they are hypoglycemic, What is the first test they run? Liver shunt and Parvo. I don't think Rose or the Vet is to blame in this situation.
