Agbender80, this really isnt good. I wanted to cry when i read your post. I have a feeling you have been scammed...no i know you have been scammed.
You wanted to know what the ACA is- American Canine Association....well you know what....i cant find much of anything about it...all i know is that its a cheaper version of AKC expect you cant enter you dog in to anything AKC related like dog shows...but mostly what i found while i googled it was a lot of people trying to find out what it was...and alot of what i read said it was boogus...even the website wouldnt tell you anything
here it is:
American Canine Association Home Page
and the FAQ page is blank. So to me thats a red flag!
Red Flag #2 - you never saw that puppy walking around....so that means he was doing this before you had him...which means the Breeder must of noticed...and Knew but wanted you to take him so she could get rid of him...because she knew he wouldnt sale.
Red Flag #3 NO WRITTEN CONTRACT! Breeders make written contracts in order to make the purchase of a pup legal and to protect themselves and well as you if something like this goes wrong. If you had a written contract you could take her to court and get your money back -no problem Think of the contract as a receipt when you go to the grocery store....if you bought something that was rotten and wanted to return it you would need a receipt to get your money back.
DONT LET HER TAKE THE PUPPY! Take the puppy to your vet...and find out whats wrong with him....then call your lawyer...and find out if there is a way to get your money back with out a contract...and if you can....take that B***h to court!
Im not trying to scary you...but action needs to be taken....There are alot of "breeders" out their that do this...and its sicken! If you have any questions or need any help please leave me a message. Good luck dear!
